This scheme took into effect on 1st January, 2010 as a charity contribution by FELDA to settlers at the land settlement scheme. The purpose of the scheme is to assist in funeral arrangement and reduce the debt and burden of the deceased family.

Funeral arrangement expenditure of RM3,000 are given immediately by the land settlement scheme manager to the deceased family.

Application for mutual benevolent (Khairat Kematian) payment of RM7,000 must be done by the beneficiary within one week from the date of death by using Decease Settler Mutual Benevolent (Khairat Kematian) Claim Form which can be obtained at the land settlement scheme office. The completed form must be submitted to the Land Settlement Scheme Manager for consideration by Regional General Manager and approval of payment is done by the Finance Division, FELDA Headquarters. The RM7,000 payment will be considered by FELDA after the death of the settler is certified by the Land Settlement Scheme Manager and certified by the Regional General Manager via the PKKP form.

FELDA Headquarters will issue a payment approval letter to the Land Settlement Scheme Manager to effect payment to the beneficiary.
